U.S. District Court’s Summer Teacher Institute 2024
Free Speech and the First Amendment in the Classroom and visit the Justice & Democracy Center of Minnesota

- Time with active federal judges, including Chief U.S. District Judge Patrick J. Schiltz
This summer’s FREE workshop will be held at the federal courthouse in downtown St. Paul and will include engaging content, activities, and speakers. You will earn CEU hours and walk away with new insight and resources to use with students when teaching about our nation’s legal system. Additionally, visit the newly opened Justice & Democracy Center of Minnesota, a civics education and engagement initiative that focuses on the role of an independent judiciary in American democracy.
This workshop is designed for social studies, civics, government, and mock trial educators for middle school through high schoolers, including AP. This workshop is FREE, but registration is required and space is limited.
